Bower Memorial, Gloucester Cathedral :: Shared Description

John Bower (d. 1615), a Gloucester apothecary is depicted with his wife Anne (d. 1613) and children on panels at the back of a large monument in the north transept. They had nine sons and seven daughters, whose names are shown in shields above, along with skulls, mottoes and memento mori.
