Peene :: Shared Description

Peene is a small village on the outskirts of Folkestone and is joined with the neighbouring village of Newington.
The village is on the edge of the Channel Tunnel Terminal and was on the Elham Valley Railway. Although no station existed at Peene, the railway passed over a bridge on the road into the village. The village is home to the Elham Valley Railway Museum.
