Ruins of Ardrahan Castle
Ruins of Ardrahan Castle
This ruin is directly across the road from Ardrahan Church. Harold G. Leask, in "Irish castles and castellated houses" (Dundalk, 1951), p. 72-3, describes it as the remains of a square keep, built upon an earlier earthwork and therefore possibly dating from around the middle of the 13th century.
