Woodhouse Farmhouse, Ridware
Woodhouse Farmhouse, Ridware
The porch is a recent addition, dated 2015 but is very much in keeping with the building. The ends of the purlins have been carved with representations of the wood wose (or wild man of the woods), a being akin to the green man. Woodhouse is a corruption of wood wose.
