Old railway bridge - Hooe Lake
Old railway bridge - Hooe Lake
There are few reminders in Turnchapel of the old L&SWR branch railway that used to serve the village and its industries but these bridge piers across the entrance to Hooe Lake remain. The railway was closed to passengers in 1951 and abandoned completely ten years later.
