Fort Bovisand
The strategic position of this 19th century 'Palmerston' fort is clear in this view. The military involvement ended in 1956 and the location was used for many years as a diving centre. Under proposals given planning permission in 2017 it will be converted into 81 houses and apartments as well as a visitor centre and cafe.
