Skenfrith Castle - The Keep
Skenfrith Castle - The Keep
The Keep is the most significant part of Skenfrith Castle to survive. It dates from the C13th, but is now ruinous apart from its shell walls.
Skenfrith Castle

Skenfrith is one of three castles (along with Grosmont and White Castle) founded by Norman lord William fitz Osbern in the early C12th century.
However what we see today are of a later fortress constructed in the 13th century by Hubert de Burgh.
