Climbing up towards Binns Pasture
This walled track forms part of both the Pennine Bridleway and the Rochdale Way. The large-scale OS map surveyed in 1844 does not show it, but the next one [surveyed in 1891] does. It was probably created when Piethorne reservoir opened in 1866.
