This area of woodland was purchased in 1993 by the Torosay Estate from Forest Enterprise. It was clear felled and then partially replanted with trees from Chile provided by the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh. Trees include Monkey Puzzle, Chilean Cedar and Alerce
