Graveyard entrance
Graveyard entrance
This is the entrance to Logie Wester Burial Ground. The graveyard stands on a low hill which was probably once an island in the River Conon. There is no church or chapel on the site, though the platform of a former chapel has been identified. The earliest gravestone identified dates from 1710. The graveyard has not been used since the early 1900s. Today, the only access to the graveyard is by an often muddy path alongside the River Conon from Conon Bridge.
