St Peter's church, Stixwould

Grade II listed

The church was rebuilt in 1831 by Christopher Turner, incorporating some earlier fabric. There is a western tower, nave, north porch, chancel and vestry.
The tower is four stages with embattled and pinnacled parapets with gargoyles, and has corner buttresses. There is a blocked west door and above is a three light perpendicular style window. There is an octagonal stair turret in the south east angle of the tower.
North porch is 19th-century and the door has an inverted 16th century coat of arms above it.

The tower and chancel arch is are from 1831 and the nave roof is 19th-century, but incorporates some 16th century carved figures.
The screen is 16th century with elaborate tracery, the arms of the donor appear over the centre.
The chancel contains many 16th century poppy-head bench ends and there is a 16th century octagonal font with carved beasts and figures.
Near to the pulpit is the upper part of a 13th century grave slab with carved human head and praying hands. It is said to come from Woodhall.
