Spring at Lion Creek
Spring at Lion Creek
This Essex Wildlife Trust reserve on the southern shore of the Crouch Estuary was formed when a new sea wall was constructed cutting it off from the Crouch. The reserve consists of 12 acres which were bought from Anglian Water in 1986 with the meadow and the saltmarsh to the south being acquired in 1998. The creek itself consists of brackish water and is part of the River Crouch.
