Mile Road and clearing cloud
Mile Road and clearing cloud
The low dark clouds in the distance, covering much of South Cambridgeshire, had parted about a quarter of an hour before on the Gog Magog Hills, and it remained bright for another half hour on what was otherwise a rather drab February morning. Rain followed in the afternoon, and heavier rain in the evening.

Mile Road is an ancient track on the south-eastern slopes of the Gogs, leading from the burial site on Copley Hill and The Roman Road to the A1307 south-east of Wandlebury.
