Tralee and Dingle Light Railway 5 at Blennerville - May 1994
Tralee and Dingle Light Railway 5 (TDLR 5) is a 2-6-2T locomotive manufactured by the Hunslet Engine Company in 1892. The line opened on 31 March 1891 and closed in 1953. A short section of line was reopened between Tralee and Blennerville as a preserved line in 1993 but closed in 2013. In 2015 a consortium proposed reopening the line but due to the locomotive being out of service after failing a boiler certificate the project ground to a halt.
