Blea Beck
Blea Beck
It's a hard life being a stream in Limestone country and Blea Beck is struggling to exist in mid-summer as much water drains through the permeable rocks. There's a layer of boulder clay, however, so there's still some water here, and the underlying limestone is not so much in evidence when all the boulders are Shap Granite erratics moved by the smae ice sheet which dumped the boulder clay.
