The route of the railway
The route of the railway
The Forest of Dean Railway was built on the route of the Bullo Pill Tramway in the 1850s and ran from Bullo Junction on the South Wales Railway to Cinderford, with branches to Churchway and Whimsey. It closed in 1967. This photo was taken looking towards Bullo Junction at a point where a public footpath crosses the line.
