Glasgow tramcar 1392 in the Riverside Museum
This tramcar 1392 was the last of the 100 Mark II Coronations or Cunarders to enter service in the late 1940s and early 1950s, being also the final all-new double deck tramcar built in Great Britain. It had 40 seats on the upper deck and 26 seats in the lower deck, and ran until Glasgow's tramways finished in September 1962. This tramcar is shown as having worked route 29 between Maryhill and Tollcross via the Normal School in New City Road, Cowcaddens. Incidentally, the Normal School was for the professional training of teachers. To the right of the photo is single deck tramcar 672.
