parkrun organise weekly 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, are free, safe and easy to take part in. Most parkruns start at 0900 on Saturdays.

parkruns take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and enable people of every ability to take part: from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; for those seeking to lose weight or improve their fitness; all are welcome.

parkrun started with one event in 2005 and by June 2019 had grown to cover 637 events worldwide (though most are in the UK) attracting over 130,000 runners, joggers and walkers every week
