The 'Messenger' Sculpture
The 'Messenger' Sculpture in front of the Theatre Royal Plymouth. This is the largest bronze sculpture in Britain, it was placed here in front of the Theatre Royal Plymouth in March 2019 having been sculpted by Joseph Hillier. The sculpture is seven metres (23ft) tall, nine metres (30ft) wide and weighs ten tonnes. The Messenger is the largest lost wax bronze sculpture to be cast in the UK and by far the largest bronze sculpture by volume at 25.6 metres cubed.
