NS2374 : Site of IBM Greenock factory

taken 3 years ago, near to Chrisswell, Inverclyde, Great Britain

Site of IBM Greenock factory
Site of IBM Greenock factory
The factory opened here in 1951 and closed in stages from 2003-2006. Some administration jobs remained on the site until fairly recently. The company now has an office building at Ladyburn in the east end of the town. The only remaining building on the once expansive campus is the disused call centre at the far side of the site.

All metal is being stripped from the site, including the railings which separated the car parks from the through road.
