Inside Black-a-Tor Copse
Black-a-Tor Copse has been described as one of the best examples of high altitude oak woodland in England. Small oak trees grow around a confusion of granite boulders on the hillside. This woodland is also noted for the variety of mosses and lichens which grow on the trees and boulders.
