Iron Frameworks
Iron Frameworks
In deepest darkest North Queensferry, secrets are hung out to dry. Twisting in the wind, this iron body shackle, a prisoner restraint system, would have been used to cage the bad boys, now hangs at the entrance to Deep Sea World. "Clap 'im in irons!" Perhaps used in conjunction with other devices such as the Scolding Bridle LinkExternal link and forms of torture LinkExternal link.

90% of dads point to it, with a wink at the missus, as they pass by warning their little ones about misbehaviour on the inside. Various uses I suppose.

Overshadowed by the mighty Forth Bridge's cantilever framework to the right of pic.
