Kilchurn Castle Barracks
The first purpose-built barracks in Scotland. They were added to the castle by the 1st Earl of Breadalbane and 11th Lord of Glenorchy. Building began in 1698 and 12 heated rooms would hold 200 soldiers with basement kitchens and latrines flushed by rainwater.
