Cat And Fiddle Inn
The Cat and Fiddle Inn is the second-highest inn in England. The Inn is situated on the eastern fringes of Cheshire in the Peak District National Park on the A537 road just west of the Derbyshire/Cheshire county boundary, on the western side of Axe Edge Moor and is at an elevation of 515 metres above sea level.
The pub was built in 1813, and has had many landlords and tenants over the years, but is owned by Robinson's Brewery. The pub used to be situated in Buxton, but due to a border change is now classed as Macclesfield.
The pub is a popular destination for bikers, cyclists and walkers, and is a checkpoint for various outdoor events and annually the final destination of the 45 mile Four Inns Walk.
