Oakham rail station 1-Rutland
Oakham rail station 1-Rutland
Oakham rail station was built in 1847 by the Midland Railway Company and is a Grade II listed building, being listed on 14th February 1990 along with the signal box and footbridge. The level crossing here is the start point of the Hereward Way, a walk route from here to Stamford, which passes to the north of Rutland Water. I like the contrast between the Victorian station building and the mobile phone. Time taken 3.42 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
