James Brindley checking his position against the Geograph site. The 1998 statue by James Butler is a one and a quarter life size cast bronze of the great canal engineer who was for a while engineer and surveyor of the Coventry Canal. It stands on the area between the 2 arms of the canal basin, looking towards the exit to the canal at bridge no. 1 and behind are the warehouses which once stored grain, various foodstuffs and cement but are now used as small business offices.
