TF1020 : Railway crossing

taken 8 years ago, near to Bourne, Lincolnshire, Great Britain

Railway crossing
Railway crossing
There is a barely perceptible rise in the land surface here, which is all that remains of the railway line to Billingborough and Sleaford. There was a large embankment here, and the road passed through it in a low tunnel.

The bungalows on the right, and the tree next to 'Brooklands Way' (which itself straddles the old route) mark where the embankment used to be.
