This fine old inn dates from at least as far back as the C16th as it was bought in 1564 by John Knight a baker and a leading figure in Banbury. Other parts date from 1624 according to a date stone.
There was a meeting here of 22 Geograph contributors on 9th March 2013 to mark the eighth anniversary of the founding of the Geograph Project.
