Former railway alongside former calcining kilns
The northern end of the 'Stone Kilns' - four terraced calcining kilns, each with four bays [built in the 1860s]. The calcined iron ore was transported to Teesside on the Rosedale Railway, now a footpath and cycle route. See LinkExternal link for more information.
