Two bridges, Common Lane
Two bridges, Common Lane
Two road overbridges carrying Common Lane over the Kenilworth Greenway, left and the Coventry-Leamington rail line, right. This section of the greenway opened in September 2011 and follows the former Kenilworth-Berkswell rail line near its junction with the Leamington line. The opening of the Coventry-Leamington line pre-dated that of the Kenilworth-Berkswell by several years and explains the differing brickwork on the two bridges - sandstone to the right, blue brick to the left.

Kenilworth Greenway

The Kenilworth Greenway runs, for much of its length, along the route of the dismantled railway between Kenilworth and Berkswell. The former LNWR line was opened 1884, closed 1969.

National cycle route 52 follows the greenway from Kenilworth to Crackley where it becomes route 523 to Burton Green.
