The Bar
The Bar
Ahead of us is the point where the Helford River is joined by Porthnavas Creek. Unusually it is almost flowing upstream at the point where is joins Helford River, and thus the waters mix and the deepest channel will be found well over to the south. Thus this north side of the river had silted up over time leaving a substantial sand bar here. That's my interpretation anyway.
