River Ebble, Bishopstone
The River Ebble is an outstanding little river, just 7 miles long rising due west of Salisbury flowing south easterly through meadows to join the River Avon just south of the cathedral city.

The River Ebble is the first river in Britain to receive the Wild Trout Designation from the Environment Agency. It was this designation because of its prolific wild trout population, unique character, absence of stocking and the only chalk stream that has absolutely no abstraction or fish farms within its catchment area.
