A narrow tractor is seen towing a trailer with a ladder attached. A worker on the ground cuts the bine off at the base, whilst another worker on a platform, cuts the top and drops it into the trailer.

A traditional Hop Field, or Hop Garden, was formed by rows of poles or strings 16 feet high. Modern fields are about 10 feet high.
