The Orry Mill
The Orry Mill
A cotton mill was established in the Orry in 1791; was rebuilt on an enlarged site and subsequently modified several times before destruction by fire in 1876. It was rebuilt on a smaller scale, and was derelict by the early twentieth century. All that remains of the mill today is the fragments of three buildings, a wheel-pit and boundary wall.
