Lower mill dam
Lower mill dam
A small dam and sluice was constructed on the Linn Burn. A lade carried water to a corn mill a short distance away on the Orry at Gilmour Street. Although filled-in during the early 1880s after the corn mill closed, the site of the pond can still be seen today.
