SU4397 : Ditch by the pillbox

Ditch by the pillbox
Ditch by the pillbox
This was the big bonus in coming up to this pillbox, part of the anti tank ditch that ran here during the Second World War. The owner of the farm and a local history society dug it out. The land owner (who I must thank for letting me take the pictures) told me that there would have been soil earth works either side of the ditch as well. You can see this on Google Earth.
